Transporting recycled products by ship from private berth
Green Care Co., Ltd. uses the private berth at Tsurumachi to transport recycled items by ship.
RPF (Refuse Paper & Plastic Fuel) made by kneading and compressing waste paper and plastics into pellets is used as an alternative fuel to fossil fuel.
Previously, RPF was transported from recycling plants located at various parts of the Kansai area to major paper-manufacturing companies by truck. By collecting, storing and inspecting them at our company's Tsurumachi Storage Site and then transporting from there by ship, we simplified the transportation route and achieved a modal shift. As a result, we have improved the transportation efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.

Improvement measures
- Our company collects, stores and inspects the quality of item at our Tsurumachi Storage Site, instead of using trucks for direct delivery to destinations.
- The collected item is transported by ship from the Tsurumachi Storage Site.
